I was thinking today about how much Brooklyn has grown and changed in the past 4 months. Everyday, she just changes so much, and is learning so much. I told Ben that I didn't think that she would change this fast, it is just crazy. Just take a look - then and now.

Ride Em' Cowgirl!!!

We were shopping at Costco today with the family, and I found this super cute rocking horse. When you press it's ears, it neighs and makes trotting noises, and also it's tail moves. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen. Being from Idaho and growing up with horses, I just had to have it for Brooklyn, so she can be a cowgirl. I told Ben it could be part of her Christmas, it is just TOO CUTE to pass up! Check out our little cowgirl! So cute.

Gotta love Target!!!

So, I just have to say that I am such a fan of Target, and especially their clearance racks for babies. I found Brooklyn some super cute clothes; a zip up hoodie, a cargo skirt, a cute onesie, and two super cute little shirts that were each $1.24. You can't beat that! Halloween Costume

I am now taking a poll of what Brooklyn should be for Halloween, even though Ben isn't sure why she needs a costume, but it's her first Halloween. These are the costumes. So many choices . . . they are all so cute!

1st try with cereal = a success!

Last night, we gave Brooklyn some rice cereal. At first, she wasn't sure what to do with it, and was sort of playing around with it in her mouth. Then, she started swallowing and spitting it back at us. She did like it though. Did it help her sleep better? She woke up at 3, but it was the first night. We will try again!

Brooklyn's 4 month checkup - the results are in . . .

I took Brooklyn to the pediatrician today for her 4 month checkup and shots. She does not like going to the doctor, and was whining or crying the entire time, but I don't like shots either. : ) The results are:

Weight: 17 lbs. 3 oz. = 98th percentile
Height: 26 1/4 in. = 98th percentile
Head: 15 1/4 cm. = 70th percentile

So, she is still a little chunk. The doctor said we could start feeding her rice cereal at night to try to fill her up so that she will sleep better. We will try that tonight, anything to help her sleep through the night!

Lately a lot of people have told me that Brooklyn looks just like a Cabbage Patch Kid. That is good news for me because I love those dolls and still have mine from when I was a kid, Lena Daisy. Here are some pictures of them both, do you see it? I do, and I love it!

Funny Story - This Time About Ben

I got back into bed at 4 AM on Sunday morning, after feeding Brooklyn, and Ben was really funny. I laid down and he asked me if Brooklyn was alright, I said yes, then he asked if she was cranky, I said "no, she was just hungry." Then, he said, "Do you want to get some ice?" I was really confused and I said, "Ice?" He said, "Yeah, you can order it online." I said, "Why do we need ice?" He said, "Just to have, you can never have enough ice." Then he turned over and went to sleep. Maybe he does need to start getting up with Brooklyn at night so he doesn't have such crazy dreams.

Brooklyn loves to play with her Uncle Ryan, and on Sunday, he built her a fort to keep her entertained. The book around her plays music and has lights, she loved it!

Casa Bonita - It Truly Is a Beautiful House : )

My grandparents came to Denver about thirty years ago, and they went to Casa Bonita. Casa Bonita is a Mexican Restaurant, and I'm sure it was the hot spot here in Denver back in the day. Now that I live here, everytime I see my grandparents they ask if we have gone. Ben took me there once when we first moved here, but we haven't been back since. While Zane was visiting, we thought his trip to Denver would not be complete until he went to Casa Bonita, and because my grandparents were asking him if we had gone yet. For those of you who haven't been, it is more for the atmosphere and kids love it, not so much the food, in my opinion. But, we still had fun and Zane loved it.

Target model?

So, yesterday we took Brooklyn to Target to have her pictures taken. She has this really cute purple dress that she wore for Christian's wedding, and I wanted her pictures taken in that. So, we got her all ready and headed off. Can I just say that she was quite the litte diva?! She was so happy and smiley, they got some great pictures in the dress. Then, we decided to do some "naked baby" pictures with her diaper on, they turned out so cute as well, you can really see her rolls. Last, we did a couple of family pictures, it was so fun. I went back last night to order (yes, it took me that long to decide which ones I wanted) and the photographer asked me they could have my permission to use Brooklyn's pictures in their studio. She also asked if they could call me to bring Brooklyn in for people they are training to photograph her, I guess she was easy to work with, and we would get free pictures. I just think she's adorable (I'm a little biased, I know) but now she might have the creditials to prove it. : ) I will post the pictures as soon as we get them back, so cute.

Sleeping Beauty

Here are some cute pictures of Brooklyn sleeping. As you can tell in the first one, she has learned how to roll - she will roll over onto her side when we lay her on our bed to take naps. As for the second picture, she just loves her caterpillar I guess!
