We're Outta Here!!!

Tomorrow, bright and early, we are off to IDAHO for a two week vacation!!!! I am so excited, I LOVE Idaho in the summertime - boating, snowcones, sitting outside at night, the 4th of July, fireworks, Reeds Dairy Ice Cream, family, and friends!!! The list goes on an on. This year we are also having the Watts Reunion in Idaho Falls over the 4th, it will be a nice little vacation. So, until we get back, my posts might be lacking. Yay for summertime!!!

Brooklyn's Latest

I thought this was a cute little video of our happy (sometimes a rare occurrence) little Brooklyn, minus my voice. : ) Isn't it weird how different you sound in videos? Or maybe this is how I really sound. Oh well. Here she is!

Julie's visit to CO!!!

We had a blast having Julie here!!! Thanks so much for coming and seeing us! Here are some highlights of her visit: Thursday: all day shopping at the Mills and Belmar! We found Roxy shoes for $5!!! What a deal! Julie HOOKED Brooklyn up with the latest from Baby Gap, Brooklyn loves her Aunt Julie!
We were going to go to the museum, but decided not to.
Little Miss Brooklyn.
Cute new clothes .
Check out B's latest wardrobe. Cute new shoes for me (total = $16)
Friday: Julie and I got pedicures, my lady was not good, she cut me, but the toes turned out cute. Then, we took a drive up to Mt. Evans (the highest paved road in the US - 14, 270 ft. and a cool 39 degrees up there. ) We saw marmots and mountain goats! We finished up the night with dinner at Carino's. Yummy!!!

Posing in the snow, it was COLD!

Mountain goats.

At the top - freezing.

Saturday: We took a Coors tour in Golden. Very interesting, we learned a lot about brewing beer (that information will be very helpful some day : ) and we had a fabulous lunch at Woody's Pizza, yum yum! Julie and I took Brooklyn swimming for the first time, that was an adventure!

"DAT"

Brooklyn loves her hats (or as she calls them - "dat") and her shoes these days. All day long, she will go in her room, and bring out shoes and hats. The other day, right before Ben came home, she had her "dat" and decided to put it on herself. She is too funny.

Brooklyn's First Rockies Game . . .

On Friday night, we had tickets to the Rockies game. They were playing the Milwaukee Brewers. It turned out to be an awesome and exciting game, with the Rockies down but then scoring 5 runs in the eighth inning, pulling out a 6 - 4 win! Brooklyn was such a good girl, I think she really enjoyed all of the people around, especially those crazy, screaming Helton fans behind us. I LOVE baseball, it is by far my favorite sport to watch, and one of my top to play. I love it! Way to go Rocks, and welcome back - The Boys of Summer! : )

Me and little Miss B. sporting our purple
Center field seats - what a good view
What a super star!

JULIE!!!

So, my best friend from college (and roomate for two years) is coming tomorrow to visit!!! I am so excited to see her, it has been about two years - way too long! I love how there are just those people in your life that no matter what happens or where life takes you, you can pick up the phone and pick up like no time has passed at all. Julie is one of those people for me! I just love her. We are planning some big time FUN while she is here, so be watching for all of the pics!!!

Another reason why I LOVE Baby Gap!!!

I mean - look at this adorable dress and matching hat! I love hats these days! : )

Our exciting weekend . . .

Since the weather has been really nice lately, we have tried to take advantage of that and spend time outdoors. We went on a picnic a couple of weekends ago, and this past weekend, we went on two walks. Brooklyn loves being outside, and loves to ride in her stroller. We walked on the Bear Creek Trail, up to Sister City Park. Brooklyn loved seeing all of the dogs, cats, ducks, etc. But, she was not too sure about the swings. And, when you are bored at home, find entertainment in putting socks on your one year old's arms to keep her from "helping" you fold laundry, it is pretty funny. : )

The craziness that is - getting dressed!!!

When it is time to get Brooklyn dressed every morning, the chaos begins. She does NOT like getting dressed, she just wants to run around in her diaper, carrying her clothes around with her. She also gets a big kick out of running around in circles and coming close to me, just to see if I will grab her. It is not so fun to wrestle her to the ground and try to put some clothes on the girl - let alone change her diaper. She is a wild woman!!!
