Our weekend . . .

To change things up this past weekend, we decided to go on a picnic and let little miss B play at the park. She loved the slide, swings, and most of all the ROCKS!!! We also went to visit Aaron & Katie. Brooklyn LOVED the trampoline and Ben loved taking the MG for a little spin around the block!

The Haircut . . .

Last Thursday, I took little miss Brooklyn in for her first haircut. Ever since she was born, she had this WAY long piece on top. I decided it was time to even things out, and give her sides a chance to catch up to the back, she had a nice baby mullet going on. : ) So, we loaded up the Bumbo and Brooklyn and headed to see Jackie. Brooklyn threw a fit!!! Thanks Jackie for putting up with us. I was trying to read to Brooklyn and distract her with treats, but it wasn't working. Then I remembered, I had a sucker. Ah, magic, that is until Jackie and I started talking and Brooklyn realized Jackie was still there. Then she let us have it again. The end result - a cute, even haircut with some layers in the back. I am just glad I didn't attempt it myself. : )

Wastin' Away in (Virgin) MARGARITAVILLE!!!

For Christmas last year, Ben surprised me with this beautiful Margaritaville Margarita Maker, top of the line from Williams - Sonoma. I LOVE fun drinks, and I love this bad boy. It makes the most delicious smoothies, coladas, daiquiris, margaritas, and SNOW CONES.
Ben is a master drink mixer, so especially on these hot summer days, we are LOVING Margaritaville! If you are in the neighborhood, come on over for a yummy treat! : )

Update . . .

Well, it has been awhile since my last post, so I decided I would give a little update. We are doing good, and just enjoying the summertime. We took Brooklyn swimming last weekend with Uncle Ryan and Aunt Sarah and I, and she LOVED it. She was just splashing around and kicking her legs and loved being in her baby float. I forgot my camera though, so no fun pics of that, we are going again this weekend, so I will post some pictures from then. Also, I went to a baby shower for a girl in my ward last Saturday, and the nursery leader was there. She asked me when Brooklyn would be old enough to go to nursery. I told her (somewhat sadly) that little B still had 4 months to go. Church is really hard right now with Brooklyn, she just wants to be on the go and anywhere but sitting on our laps. Anyway, Shelley (the nursery leader) told me that we could start bringing Brooklyn to nursery to get her used to it. I really wasn't sure, but then on Sunday, another lady from the nursery came to get Brooklyn to take her to nursery. I kept peeking in on her the whole 2 hours - she loved it. She carried around a doll the whole time, and I just couldn't believe how good she did. I kept expecting her to be crying and I would have to take her out, but no! I saw her at snack time, sitting in a chair at the table, with her feet propped up on the table, eating her goldfish and drinking from a sippy cup. She was giving some of the other kids hugs, it really was so cute. Where did my little baby go? She is such a little toddler now, and I guess will be attending nursery. Crazy!!! Also, yesterday I took Brooklyn in for her first haircut, so stay tuned for that fun post!

IDAHO!!!

Warning: extremely LONG post.

Well, we made it back from our vacation in Idaho. We actually got back on Sunday, but have been recuperating and are finally all getting over colds/flu. Not fun. But, we did have a great time in Idaho. I love Idaho in the summertime, and we were able to do most of my favorite things there; ride the horses, eat at Taco Time, have snow cones, Reed's Dairy ice cream, catch up with some old friends, spend lots of time with the family, and a lot more. We were able to spend a week and a half with my family before the Watts' came into town for the reunion, and we had a blast. Here are some highlights of our trip.

Watts Family Reunion with matching T-shirts.
Chasing little Brooklyn all around the park.
Grandpa and Grandma Watts - 60 years and still so cute.
Dancing.
Brooklyn made a lot of new friends - Leah . . .
Gavin . . .
and Jack. (Thanks Jenni and Terrell for such sweet kids and letting Brooklyn chase them around and smother them with hugs.)
Fun times with my bff Micheal.
More of loving Jack (maybe annoying him)

The IF parade .
So much fun!
We even brought Ryan along so he wouldn't miss out on the festivities.
The fireworks show at the river. Brooklyn was not a fan - we had to leave 5 minutes after they started. She was screaming and shaking so bad.
